It is about half way between Lisbon and Porto, and further inland from Coimbra along the N17. It takes about 45 minutes to travel to the university city of Coimbra, 2 hours to Porto and about 2.5 hours to Lisbon.

The Algarve and Faro is about a 51/2-hour drive. The motorways here are a joy - not busy and most were built very recently. The country roads are normally in good condition, and not busy.

A beautifully restored rustic cottage in the green heart of Portugal.

This former farm worker's cottage sleeps up to 6 people, having a master bedroom with double bed and french windows to a secluded patio, a 2nd. bedroom with bunks & a sofa-bed in the living area.

You enter into the cottage on the upper floor into the living room with a fully equipped kitchen area with gas oven, microwave, toaster, electric kettle, blender & fridge.

Then descend to the ground floor where the bedrooms and bathroom are situated.

Bedrooms: 1 Double Bedroom, 1 Twin Bedroom. The twin bedded room has bunks. There is a double sofa-bed in the sitting room

. Heating: A log burner is situated in the living room and a log effect gas-fire is fixed in the downstairs hallway.

Dining: Seating for 4 people in dining area. For outside eating a table and 6 chairs are provided on the balcony.
